Motor Bike Expo, Verona Italy.

Motor Bike Expo, Verona Italy.
The biggest and best custom bike in Europe. With more than 700 exhibitors and over a 1000 custom bikes on display, the numbers are pretty impressive. But these aren’t just custom bikes, these are custom bikes with a level that’s unbelievable high, details, engineering and styling that can only be found in Italy.

Many foreigners, not just from all over Europe, but as far as Asia and America, come to Verona to compete in one of the custom bike shows, to do business or just to enjoy the best of the European Custom Bike scene.

Five halls, 21.000 square metres filet with bikes, beautiful babes, Parts and Accessories and with Music and dancing everywhere, makes a great weekend. Add the Italian hospitality that includes food and drinks for everyone atalmost every booth amd you know why we come to Verona every year!

New this year at the Verona Motor Bike Expo was the World Custom Conference, hosted by photographer Michael Lichter. Many interesting topics were discussed with a panel of builders, photographers and journalists, both from Europe and The United States. The discussions, with a big audience, varied from ‘why is a bobber a bobber, and what makes a chopper a chopper?’ to what’s relevant in the magazines these days, what is the future of printed magazines and what is the difference with digital magazines?’

As always there was the LowRide Magazine Custom Show, that had some 230 of the coolest customs in the show, the Custom Chrome Europe Custom Show which had over 200 bikes in it, and the Magazine Awards that the editors of the leading European and American magazines were to give to a bike of their choice. For me that was Francesco Bella, of North Coast Customs. An Italian builder who built many prize winning bikes and who won many prizes at shows all over Europe, including the World Championship hosted by AMD. I had the honour to hand him the Madness Photography Magazine Award. For me, his bike called ‘Fiat Abarth’ represents Italy; an Italian builder with a sexy bike, built around a Fiat 500cc Abarth engine. The styling is soooo Italian, the engineering incredible and his craftmanship shows in the details. Congratulations Francesco Bella!

From the States came not only famous photographer Michael Lichter, but Ron Woodruff, owner of the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, was there too with Nayla to show the Italians what the Chip is all about; not only the largest Motorcycle Music Festival in the World, but also the best place to party, to camp and to have fun!

A large section was reserved for the rapidly growing CafĂ© Racer and Scrambler scene. Mr. Martini, the Ace Cafe London, and brands like Triumph, Ducati, Matchless, and even BMW had many cool bikes on their stands.
