EURO BIKE FEST 2015
The sunny side of Moravia!
May 29th-31st, ATC Merkur Campground, Pasohlavky, Czech Republic

The Czech motorcyclists are riders in the purest sense, which was visible on this weekend of great riding weather and warm temperatures: Motorcyclists all over the country roads – and a lot of them en route to Southern Moravia, visiting the czech event which has been pleagued so much by weather impact in the last years. "Euro Bike Fest" is held at one of the most scenic locations of any motorcycle events: Situated on the artificial lake that sank several towns into the river Thaya after World War 2 and the Integration of Moravia into Czech Republic, with the "Pollau Mountains" reflecting in the water, this cool event in Pasohlavky, just about 70 km north of Vienna/Wien has become a major date for the European scene, especially in the east.
Touring options include the scenic old town of Mikulov, surrounding lakes & mountains CZ's 2nd biggest City of Brno and the nearby 1905 napoleonic battlefield of Austerlitz in a landscape that is still quiet and to a great extend untouched. Or you can stay at the "Euro Bike Fest" campground, get a swim in the lake (naturist beach optional), take a helicopter ride or enjoy the great food (don't forget the great beers...) for a cheap price. Nevertheless, time has not stood still, for in the last few years a huge bath/spa waterworld complex had been erected just above the campground. Ugly, but also a choice for a family visit: drop the kids and enjoy the motorcycle event. And: The entrance did include a voucher for a visit!

From this years BOAR rides, Thunderbike's "Slim Jim" Softail and TGS's "Speedfreak" Sportster were present and received great attention by the visitors.

With the sunshine back over the event in force, visitor numbers mounted soon on friday – and the bikeshow filled up with entries from all East European countries. While parts of the program seem strange – which other motorcycle event can boast a "Zombie run" – they are entertaining and quite funny. Something new and off the beaten path. Makes you think that there is more than hanging around and "looking cool" at the next watering hole.
Zombie Run!
Having some fun for a change, even if you don't understand a word of the language. But no worries: "Harley talk" is an international language – and you're always find somebody who will be able to talk to. Even more, as the atmosphere is relaxed and the Moravians are guest friendly. You don't have to leave the campground during the event, but it is certainly a great ride to and from Euro Bike Fest – just do it!
